Description_of_the_Project
The aim of the project, managed by the NSW Women's Refuge Resource Centre (WRRC), is to identify, document and promote a diverse range of innovative strategies and models of service provision in women's refuges. There is a focus on quality of service and continuum of support, underpinned by the feminist Over-arching Principles of the NSW Women's Refuge Movement and standards in the "Open Door" Access and Equity Manual.
The Senior Project Worker, Nancy Smyth, based at the WRRC undertook research of service models in Australia as well as overseas. She presented the first of her papers at the NSW Women's Refuge Movement State conferences in late 2002 and it is now availible on the website.
