Child Support
These conferences are hosted by refuges within NSW and alternate between city and country regions. The conferences provide an arena for sharing skills and knowledge, training, support and address issues that affect Women and children escaping Domestic Violence.
The Child Support Workers have a representative on the WRM Working Party. The representative also attends community and state meetings relevant to Child Support issues and feeds back information to refuges as required and at Child Support Conferences.
Some Child Support Workers also meet regionally on a regular basis, six
weekly or bi-monthly, to discuss local and state issues, share resources
and skills, and provide support to one another.
